A picture I took in 1970 at Grist Haven Lodge in N.E. Alberta. On the left is owner Dick York. I don't recall the name of the other employee who worked for Dick that summer. We had taken off from the strip at the north end of Grist Lake and the engine was backfiring. So we landed and took off the cowl to do a few adjustments. Then we were off to Cooking Lake Alberta to take me back home after a month of working at the lodge. Great learning experience to be a fishing guide. Hard work. Back then it was a fly-in only lodge. Now you can drive in.
